Professor at the University of Zurich . Specialist, on the one hand, in ancient Greek, on the other - in Sanskrit . Posted by: “Kritische Geschichte des Spartanischen Staates von 500 bis 431 v. Chr. "(Lpc., 1873 ); Siebenzig Lieder des Rigveda übersetzt (in collaboration with C. Geldner and R. Roth, Tub., 1875 ); "Der Rigveda, die älteste Literatur der Inder" (2nd ed., Lpts., 1881 ); “Alter und Herkunft des german. Gottesurteils ”(Zür., 1887 ); "Die neunzahl bei den Ost-ariern" (Cyur., 1891 ). In his “Griech. Schulgrammatik ”(3rd ed., Berl., 1892 ) and in a number of articles for the first time in Keg in Germany made an attempt to simplify educational material; the same purpose is served by his “Griech. Uebungsbuch ”(2nd ed., Part 1, Berlin, 1893 ) and“ Kurzgefasste griech. Schulgrammatik ”(Berl., 1893 ).
