According to the publications of Coral (2006 and 2007) and Lehtonen (2011), the family includes 3 genera and approximately 12 species [2] [3] [4] :
- Calochlaena Maxon , includes about 5 species.
- Dicksonia L'Hér. - Dixonia , includes at least 7 species.
- Lophosoria C. Presl , a monotypic genus, the only representative is Lophosoria quadripinnata ( JFGmel. ) C.Chr.
