Biography
Ilgizar Sobirov was born on February 20, 1959 in the Koshkupyr district of the Khorezm region . Before entering the university in 1975 - 1980 he worked on the collective farm named after I. Ibragimov of the Koshkupyr district. While studying at the Tashkent State University, he was secretary of the Komsomol organization of the Faculty of Law, and after graduation, from 1986 to 1987, he worked as an employee of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology, from 1988 to 1992, as a research associate at the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan . At various times, he worked as a senior assistant to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (1992-1993); Vice-Rector of the Tashkent State Law Institute (1993-1994); Assistant to the Chairman of the Supreme Court, judge, secretary of the plenum and board of the Supreme Economic Court (1994-1997); consultant to the expert group on relations with the legislative and judicial authorities of the Presidential Administration (1997-1999); Head of the Department of Justice of the Khorezm Region (1999–2000), Khokim of the Koshkupyr District of the Khorezm Region (2003–2005). Since 2009, he has been a deputy of the Koshkupyrsky District Kengash.
In 1999, Ilgizar Sobirov was elected deputy of the Oliy Majlis of the second convocation, worked as deputy chairman of the Committee on Defense and Security, Chairman of the Committee on Legislation and Judicial and Legal Issues.
In 2005, Ilgizar Sobirov became a member of the Senate of the first convocation from the Khorezm region, in 2005 he took the post of Chairman of the Senate Committee on Defense and Security; in 2006 he was elected chairman of the Senate [3] . In 2010, he again became a senator from the Khorezm region, on January 26, 2010 he was elected chairman of the second Senate [4] .
Head of the Department of Justice of the Khorezm Region (2015-2017), since 2017 Khokim of the Khorezm Region [2]
On April 21, 2018, he was relieved of his post as the Khokim of Khorezm region [5] .
