Rositsa ( Latvian. Rosica , Belorussian. Rositsa ) is a river in Latvia and Belarus , flows through the territory of the Kraslava region and the Verkhnedvinsky district of the Vitebsk region , the right tributary of the Western Dvina . The river is 51 km long, the catchment area is 279 km², the average annual water discharge at the mouth is 1.9 m³ / s, and the average water surface slope is 1.3 ‰ [1] .

The river originates in the territory of Latvia near the village of Robesznieki . It flows from the source to the southeast, soon after the source flows into the territory of Belarus, where it changes direction to the south, and then to the southwest. In the lower reaches, it flows into Latvia again, turns south and flows into the Western Dvina exactly at the state border.
Rositsa flows within the boundaries of the Latgale Upland . Of the total length of 51 km, 36 km are in Belarus, 15 km in Latvia. The valley is trapezoidal, its width is 150-200 m, the largest is 1 km near the village of Danki, the smallest is 40 m (below Lake Black). The floodplain alternates along the banks (width 20-70 m), near the village of Danki is bilateral (width 50 m), in the mouth part. The channel from the source on the territory of Latvia and 1 km in Belarus is canalized, then moderately winding. The width over the entire length does not exceed 10 meters [1]

Rositsa flows through the Bigosovo agro-town and a number of villages: Rositsa , Kovalevshchina, Bigosovo, Stakly, Grigorovshchina (all - Belarus).
It falls into the Western Dvina on the border of Belarus and Latvia near the Belarusian village of New Village.
