Biography
He became a doctor at the age of 18, from 1754 he lectured at the University of Vienna . He defended his thesis on the role of insects in medicine (as carriers of diseases and as a method of traditional treatment) in Freiburg . He was a doctor of the Austrian imperial court at Maria Theresa and Joseph II , in 1797 he was elevated to the county office. In 1777 - 1779 was a mentor to the founder of homeopathy, Samuel Hahnemann .
He wrote several essays, including "Tractatus de morbis oculorum", "Animadversiones practicae in diverses morbos" ( 1786 ; French translation 1807 , German translation 1787 ).
