Biography

In the 1920s she worked in the laboratory of a synthetic rubber plant.

Since the beginning of the 1930s - in IOKHAN named after ND Zelinsky . Pupil and long-term employee of academicians N. D. Zelinsky and A. A. Balandin .

Major Achievements

  • A. A. Balandin, O. K. Bogdanov, A. P. Shcheglova, in I941 — I942, developed and introduced at the Kazan plant of SK, a method for producing benzine-resistant (thiocol) rubber, which has found wide application in the production of “self-engaging” "When hit by bullets) coatings of gas tanks for aircraft.
  • In 1946-1952, a new method was developed for obtaining 1.3-butadiene on chromium oxide catalysts from crude oil, which was introduced into the industry at the SK plants in Sterlitamak and Sumgait (OK Bogdanova, A. P. Shcheglova;
  • In 1974–1981, O. K. Bogdanov and D. P. Belomestnyi developed a method for the production of styrene and its homologs by the oxidative dehydrogenation of alkyl benzene over a multicomponent chromium oxide catalyst, which was superior to all known industrial catalysts for ethyl benzene dehydrogenation.
