Macau Tower ( Chinese 澳門 旅遊 塔 會展 娛樂 中心 , port of Torre de Macau , full name of the port of Centro de Convenções e Entretenimento da Torre de Macau ) is a high-rise building in Macau , a tourist attraction . It is used mainly as an , performs communication functions, operates a , a cafe and a 3D cinema, retail outlets [1] . With a height of 338 meters, it is the tallest building in Macau and the 18th tallest building in China; and also ranks 19th on the list of the tallest television towers in the world.

Description
The tower is equipped with high-speed elevators: their maximum speed reaches 540 meters per minute (32.4 km / h; lifting from 0 to 235 meters takes 40 seconds) [1] . For visitors with strong nerves, the Skywalk X attraction is available - an open-air walk along the outer rim of the tower, as well as the highest bungee and sky-jumping sites in the world [3] (the cost of the first jump is 3588 sticks and the second jump is 1288 patak; sky-jump - 3188 patak; a walk with insurance on the outer surface of the head - 888 patak; climbing to the top of the tower spire - 2488 patak) [4] . From the observation platform , located at an altitude of 235 meters and having an area of 734 m² [1] , a panorama with a radius of up to 55 kilometers opens. This platform has two levels, a glass floor and makes a complete revolution around its axis in one hour [1] . The structure withstands winds blowing at a speed of 300 km / h. History
Having once visited New Zealand Auckland , billionaire was struck by the Sky Tower there . He decided to build the same building in his homeland, in Macau.
The construction of the skyscraper began in 1998, it was officially opened on December 19, 2001 [5] . At the time the construction was completed, the Macau Tower was on the 14th line in the list of the highest free-standing telecommunication towers in the world.
