Kandil Baloch ( March 1, 1990 [1] - July 15, 2016 ) is a Pakistani blogger, singer, actress and media figure.

Biography
On July 15, 2016 she was strangled (“ honor killing ”) by her brother Vasim after her sister refused to publish on social networks [2] , subsequently confessing to having killed her for unacceptable behavior that degrades the honor of the family [3] [4] [5 ] ] [6] .
Some media compared her with Kim Kardashian [7] , because both of them were in the spotlight largely due to their activity in social networks and extravagant behavior. However, Pakistani experts believe that the influence of Baloch was different - she made social statements and political slogans [8] .
Among other things, Baloch spoke out against the patriarchal system of his country. For many girls in Pakistan, Baloch has become a symbol of feminism [9] [10] [11] .
