Johny Srouji ( born Johny Srouji , Hebrew ג'וני סרוג'י ; born 1964, Haifa , Israel ) is Apple Inc's senior vice president of hardware technology .

Biography
Sruji was born and raised in the Haifa quarter of Wadi Nisnas in a family of Israeli Christian Arabs . He studied at the Catholic private school Nezirut-Carmelite (Scuola Italiana Carmelite). He received a bachelor 's degree , and then a master 's degree in computer science at the Technion University (Israel Institute of Technology) in the city of Haifa ( Israel ).
After his education, Sruji held executive positions at Intel and IBM , responsible for the development and design of processors .
In 2008, Apple began to form a team to develop its own ARM microprocessors , took over PA Semi (April 2008) and hired Mark Peipermaster as a senior vice president of Devices Hardware , former vice president of IBM [1] . It was then that in 2008, Sruji left IBM and joined the Devices Hardware division at Apple , leading the development of the Apple A4 microprocessor (introduced in January 2010), the first system on a chip (SoC) designed by Apple itself.
In July 2013, after Bob Mansfield stepped down as senior vice president [2] , Sruji was appointed Apple's vice president of hardware technology and led the technology division, which develops wireless equipment and semiconductor products [3 ] , which was previously overseen by Senior Vice President Bob Mansfield.
At Apple, he assembled and built one of the strongest and most innovative teams in the world of engineers and technologists to develop hardware technologies and design semiconductor devices , such as processors , memory microcontrollers , display controllers, touch sensors , batteries and other chipsets for the entire product line of the company Apple
On December 17, 2015, he was appointed Apple's senior vice president of hardware technology with direct reporting to CEO Tim Cook [4] .
