Member Teams
Six teams participate in league games; unlike previous seasons, the teams did not break up at the conference on a geographical basis, but form a common group, in which each of them holds 6 matches at home and 6 away. Teams represent four US states (two from California ) and the District of Columbia .
Compared to the previous season , the following changes have occurred in the league:
- The California Dream team in Sacramento was disbanded due to financial problems and an inability to pay a participation fee for the tournament [1]
- After several years in which the franchise was located in Texas , the Austin Aces club returned to California , regaining the historical name Orange County Breakers [2]
- The Boston Lobsters club, which had been playing in the league since 2005, ceased to exist, since there were no people who wanted to acquire a team in Massachusetts . The Lobsters place in the league was taken by the New York Empire Club; Thus, in the state of New York, after a three-year break, the WTT club reappeared [3] .

Standings
Each team spent 6 matches on the home court and 6 matches away. Round-robin matches took place from July 31 to August 13, 2016. Each match consisted of 5 sets - in the men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles.
According to the results of the round-robin stage, the two best teams met each other in the final match, which will be held on August 26 in New York at the Forest Hills stadium [4] , the place where the US Open tennis used to be . These teams were the Orange County Breakers and San Diego Aviators representing California, and the current champions and winners of six of the seven previous Washington Castle championships failed to make it to the finals (the third time in the club’s history) [5] .
