Biography
Born November 13, 1947 in the city of Luckenwald , Germany .
Father, Semen Borisovich (1914-1992), a participant in the Second World War . Mother, Yampolskaya Polina Moiseevna (1918-1990), medical worker.
In 1961, after the demobilization of his father from the army with the rank of lieutenant colonel, the family moved to Volgograd .
In 1967 he graduated with honors from the Volgograd Chemical-Technological College, having received the qualification of a technologist in the specialty “Technology of Organic Synthesis”, was admitted to the Volgograd Chemical Plant named after S. M. Kirov as an apprentice of 5 category in workshop No. 35.
Then he entered the correspondence department of VPI , then transferred to the full-time department, and graduated in 1973, engineer-chemical engineer, specialty "Technology of basic organic and petrochemical synthesis."
During his studies, he was engaged in scientific work at the Department of Organic Chemistry under the guidance of an assistant professor. (later - professors) V. A. Navrotsky. The thesis related to the synthesis and study of vinyl esters of adamantane by their polymerization was carried out under the guidance of associate professor (later - professor) S. S. Radchenko.
Actively involved in sports, kayaking.
After completing his studies at the institute, he served in the army; in 1975, he was demobilized from the post of commander of a tank platoon.
He began working as an engineer at the Department of Synthetic Rubber Technologies at VPI.
In 1981, he defended his thesis, topic: “Synthesis and study of the properties of polyimides and copolyimides based on adamantane derivatives” (supervisors are Professor A. P. Hardin and associate professor (later on, corresponding member of the RAS) I. A. Novakov ).
In 1991 - awarded the academic title of Associate Professor.
In 1999, he defended his doctoral dissertation, topic: “Synthesis and study of the properties of polyimides and copolyimides based on asymmetric functional derivatives of adamantane” (scientific adviser to RAS Corresponding Member I. A. Novakov ).
In 2001 - awarded the academic title of professor.
Since 2002 - Director of the Center for Collective Use "Physicochemical Methods of Analysis"; Since 2006 - Member of the Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Analytical Chemistry; Since 2007 - Member of the Dissertation Council D 212.028.01.
