Description
The total length of representatives of this genus of gerrozavrov reaches 20-25 cm. The color is usually monochromatic (mostly brownish-gray with olive tones). Have long tails. The peculiarity of the representatives of the genus Tetradactylus is somewhat reduced limbs and fingers. Some species have 4 or even 2 toes. The limbs are rather short. However, the middle finger of all representatives of this genus remained developed, thanks to which tetradactylus dig holes.
Lifestyle
They like dry, rocky, stony places. Quite quickly move between stones. Often hiding in the bushes. They feed on insects and other small invertebrates.
These are egg-laying lizards. Lay their eggs in termitaries. In laying up to 2 eggs.

They live in southeastern Africa.
