Scientific activity

Scientific papers are devoted to research in the field of coal chemistry, chemistry of carbon materials and heterogeneous catalysis, the author and co-author of more than 1,160 publications, 351 articles on WoS (citation 3731, Hirsch index 28) and 160 copyright certificates and patents for inventions, including after being elected a member RAS Correspondent in 2011 - 161 articles (WoS) and 30 patents.

Under the leadership of Ismagilov Z.R. fundamental studies of the structure of coal were carried out by modern physicochemical methods, the scientific foundations of the pyrolysis and gasification of coal, the production of coal chemistry and coke chemistry products were developed, the regularities of the content of polyaromatic hydrocarbons in a series of coal metamorphism were established. Thermochemical reactions of the conversion of fossil coals under the influence of laser radiation were first studied

The structure and structure of humic compounds were studied, methods for their isolation were developed, and a pilot industrial stand for the production of humic substances was created. The scientific basis for producing sorbents from fossil coals has been developed, a study of the structure and properties of sorbents has been carried out using a set of physico-chemical methods, and a modern stand has been created for the production of carbon sorbents. The scientific basis for the chemical utilization of coalbed methane by the methods of partial oxidation, dimerization, and aromatization of mine methane has been solved.

The mechanism of synthesis of carbon nanofibers and nanotubes is studied in detail, the fundamental laws of the modification of carbon nanomaterials by heteroatoms are investigated.
