Biography

Having chosen a military career, by the beginning of the 1970s. had the rank of colonel of the Uganda People’s Defense Forces .

After the coup in Uganda in 1971, led by Idi Amin, he became one of the leading figures in his government. He first became the current Minister of Foreign Affairs, and on May 25, 1975 he was appointed full Minister of Foreign Affairs.

He served as Minister of Information and Broadcasting of Uganda.

In 1975-1978 - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uganda. In 1979 - Minister of Livestock.

After the fall of the regime, Idi Amin received support from the Government of Sudan. When fleeing, he took with him 3,000 cattle.

He was one of the founders of the Ugandan People's Democratic Army (UPDA). In the early 1990s was a rebel leader in the West Nile region of Uganda. He was accused of violating their human rights because of the laying of landmines in northern Uganda in the mid-1990s. He also fought with his followers in the Second Sudanese Civil War on the side of the Government of Sudan. In March 1997, he and his allies were severely defeated when South Sudanese rebels ambushed them in the area of ​​the city of Her and almost completely destroyed them.

In 1999, he suffered a stroke and was bedridden.

He had the military rank of colonel.
