Duke of Peñaranda de Duero ( Spanish: duque de Peñaranda de Duero ) - Spanish aristocratic title. It was created on May 22, 1608 by the Spanish king Philip III for the prominent politician and aristocrat Juan de Zunigi and Bazan (c. 1540-1608), the son of Francisco de Zunigi and Avellaneda, 4th Earl of Miranda del Castagnar . Juan de Zoonig Avellaneda and Bazan served as Viceroy of Catalonia (1583–1586), Viceroy of Naples (1586–1595) and President of the Council of Castile (1600–1608).
