The building of the Television Academy

The American Television Academy ( Eng. Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, or Television Academy ) is a professional organization that promotes the American television industry . The organization was founded in 1946 in North Hollywood at the initiative of Sid Cassid. Since 1949, the American Television Academy has been awarding the prime time Emmy Award to the best television programs ^[1] .
