Norodom Arun Rasmay

Born in the royal family of Cambodia. Norodom Sihanouk , father Arun Rasmay, was repeatedly the head of state, in 1941 - 1955 and 1993 - 2004 - king of Cambodia . Mom Manivan Panivong , mother Arun Rasmey, Lao , was a consort queen in 1949 - 1955 , and died in 1975 at the hands of the Khmer Rouge .

Secondary education Norodom Arun Rasmey received at home. The years of the Civil War , the Polpot genocide and the Cambodian conflict were spent in the USA . She worked in financial institutions - Bank of California ( Long Beach , 1980 - 1985 ), Siam Commercial Bank ( New York , 1985 - 1991 ).

After the Paris Peace Accords, Nerodom Arun Rasmay returned to Cambodia. From 1992 to 1997 she was deputy, then director of the Agricultural Bank. She was in the leadership of the Cambodian Red Cross . She participated in diplomatic events, was a member of the ASEAN Ladies' Circle (meeting of the wives of prominent politicians and diplomats of Southeast Asian states), and since 2004 - Ambassador of Cambodia in Malaysia ^[1] .

Norodom Arun Rasmey is a member of the monarchist party Funsinpek . After the removal of Norodom Ranarit from the post of party chairman in 2006 , Norodom Arun Rasmey and her husband Keo Put Rasmey moved to the highest party leadership. In 2006—2011, the chairman of the FUNSINPEC was Keo Put Rasmey, in 2013–2015 - Norod Arun Rasmey. Princess Arun Rasmay was twice nominated by the FUNSINPEC to the Prime Ministers of Cambodia ^[2] .

We have chosen Princess Arun Rasmay as a candidate for the premiere because we encourage the participation of women in politics. Secondly, she never had anything to do with corruption and nepotism. Third, she is the daughter of the King the Father.

At the head of the FUNSINPEC, Princess Arun Rasmay advocated the strengthening of monarchical statehood and civil peace, in defense of the territorial integrity of Cambodia ^[4] . However, neither the 2008 election nor the 2013 election brought FUNSINPEC success.

Since January 2015, Prince Norodom Ranarit, the half-brother of the princess, is again the chairman of the FUNSINPEC. For some time, Norodom Arun Rasmay served as vice-chairman of the party, but resigned in March 2015.

She was needed to give the party a royal aura. Now that the prince has returned, her participation has become optional ^[5] .

Twice - in 1994 and 2004 - King Sihanouk appropriated the titles Preah and Samdek by Norod Arun Rasmay. The princess has been awarded a number of royal orders.

The first marriage by Norodom Arun Rasmay concluded in 1970 in the USA: her husband was Prince Sisovat Sirirat ^[6] . In the marriage, the couple had three children. In 1991, in Beijing, Nerodom Arun Rasmei married the financier and diplomat Keo Put Rasmey. From this marriage has two children ^[7] .

The princess is known in secular circles of East Asia. Performs special diplomatic missions of the royal family - for example, maintaining ties with Japan ^[8] .
