Biography
Vladimir Alexandrovich Grammatikov was born on June 1, 1942 in Sverdlovsk [2] in the family of Alexander Nikolayevich and Nina Iosifovna [3] Grammatikovs. Mother began as an opera singer , but after giving birth to five children, she devoted herself to housekeeping. Father during the Great Patriotic War , when the Donbass was captured, he proposed a new method of coal mining in Kuzbass by open pit coal mining . In 1947, he was invited to Moscow to work at the Ministry of Coal Industry [4] .
After moving from Sverdlovsk to Moscow, the Grammatikov family lived next door to the Mikhalkovs . It was Nikita Mikhalkov , with whom Vladimir had been friends since childhood, that fundamentally influenced the choice of the profession of Grammatikov [5] .
He graduated from the radio-engineering department of the Higher Technical School. Bauman in Moscow, after which he decided to connect his life with the cinema. Later he was educated at the acting faculty of GITIS [2] , becoming an actor of pantomime.
In 1963, he was approved for the role of Sasha Shatalov in George Danelia ’s film “ I Walk in Moscow, ” however, like his hero, he was unexpectedly drafted into the army for three years. As a result, the role went to Eugene Steblov [4] .
After the army, he decided to become a director . According to Grammatikov himself, he made five attempts to enter the directing department of VGIK [6] , which he graduated in 1976 (workshop of Yefim Dzigan ) [2] .
Since 1976 he worked as an actor and director of the M. Gorky Film Studio . He shot stories for the newsreel "Jumble" , commercials.
Since 1990 - Artistic Director of the Creative Association "Contact" ( Gorky Film Studio ) [2] . One of the creators and artistic director of Starlight Studio (Russia- Sweden- Great Britain-Denmark). President, Starlight Fest - International Film Festival of Children's Films in Artek (1992-1996). One of the founders of the Festival of Visual Arts in the All-Russian Children's Center "Eaglet" (1997-2006).
In 1998-2002 - Director of the Gorky Film Studio [2] . He participated as a host in the television project Akuna Matata.
Vladimir Grammatikov worked as the main director and artistic director of the Sesame Street ( NTV ) children's television educational program for preschool children [2] , which, in his own words, he attached great importance to. In 2007, Grammatikov argued that at that time “the average family could not lead a small child to the morning session” and “all projects for the smallest should be given to television” [7] .
In 2008, he held a master class “Film Director's Mastery” - the First All-Russian Film Festival of Acting Directors “Golden Phoenix” in Smolensk.
In 2008, he was a member of the jury of the Kinotavr and Constellation festival, the president of the Boomerang forum at the Orlyonok children's center, a member of the presidium of the Eurasian Television Academy, the chairman of the board of trustees of the children's fund, and held a mastery on film production at the First All-Russian Film Festival actors-directors of the Golden Phoenix in Smolensk. In 2009 - chairman of the jury of the 16th St. Anna Open Festival.
In March 2010, Vladimir Grammatikov was appointed as the creative producer of Disney in Russia [8] .
Wife - Natalya Nikolaevna Zhukova, daughter of the famous artist Nikolai Zhukov (memorable from the portraits of V.I. Lenin). 2 sons: Egor - actor and director, Nikolai - lawyer. Has 5 grandchildren.
Orthodox. His father, a high-ranking Soviet official, secretly baptized him in the Church of the Protection of the Holy Virgin in Perkhushkovo [5] .
Creativity
He acted in films often, made his debut at the age of 21 in the film “Attention! The city is a wizard ” (1963). Among the best roles is Pavlik in the movie Sixth .
His first full-length work as a director was the children's comedy film The Mustachioed Nanny , which became the film distribution leader (53 million viewers). Grammatikov confidently found himself in the niche of children's and teenage cinema, and almost all subsequent works in the genre of family cinema of the director were awarded prizes of Soviet and international film festivals.
