Afurja (waterfall)

Afurja ( azerb. Afurca şəlaləsi ) is the highest waterfall in Azerbaijan [1] [2] . It is located in the Velvelechay river basin , near the Tenginsky gorge, near the village of Afurdzh Gubinsky district . Falls from Tengi Mountain. The height of the waterfall is about 50 m [3] . Afurdzh Falls is a natural monument of Azerbaijan and is protected by the state [4] .
