This August 26th, being in a battle under the personal command of Mr. Major General Borozdin, with a regiment entrusted to me by the Life-Cuirassier of Her Imperial Majesty from six o'clock in the morning to four in the afternoon under intransient shots of the enemy; at four o'clock at the command of Evo, Mr. Major-General Borozdin, I followed on the right flank, at the very time when the adversary's excellent cavalry broke into the center of our army. Seeing this, I attacked myself with the Leib squadron and the enemy's Major Cashmbar to the rear, where the enemy cuirassiers and lancers were completely defeated and overturned by a double attack on his infantry. Simi attacks saved our infantry and the entire center of our army. But two squadrons, the commander and major Salogub, remained on the left flank, where they took enemy batteries twice, but could not, without reinforcements, to bring them down.
