Nightingale Valley

The Nightingale Valley Cemetery ( Slovak: Cintorín Slávičie údolie ) is the largest (18.5 ha ) cemetery in Bratislava . It was founded in 1912 and was originally intended for the burial of the poor. It is located in the urban quarter of Karlov-Ves on Old Soils, next to an extensive complex of university dormitories (Youth and University Campus named after Ludovit Stur - Mills of the Comenius University). The street of the same name runs in the distance from the cemetery and belongs to the city block Old Town. The cemetery is still being buried.

Traffic

The cemetery is located not far from the Mill Valley quarter. Nearby is a large car parking. At the entrance gate is the final stop (“circle”) of the following public transport bus routes: buses No. 31 (direction Trnavske-Mito) and No. 39 (direction Sugvezdna). The name of the stop is the Nightingale Valley Cemetery .
