Qasim ibn Hassan is a Shiite righteous man (shahid).

One of the young martyrs who were killed along with Hussein at the command of the Umayyads . The memory of Kasym is celebrated by the Shiites in the days of the passions of the Alids (" ashura "), that is, at the beginning of the month of Muharram. During the "ashura" mysteries are given (theasia); one of the most touching is called “Kasym’s Wedding” (Kasym became engaged several hours before his martyrdom).
