After participating in several crucial battles in Georgia, the October Revolution emigrated through Italy to France .
Dmitry’s friend, the famous driver Zaniratti, taught him how to drive a car. The first car in Dmitry’s life was “ lunch .” He was best known for car racing. In 1931 , together with the Italian Goffredo Dzhegender at Mercedes-Benz won the race " 24 hours Spa ."
Jorjadze was married twice. In March 1937, he married Audrey Emery , the ex-wife of Prince Dmitry Pavlovich Romanov . Prince Dmitry Jorjadze raised his son Dmitry Romanov and Audrey Emery Pavel . After the divorce, in 1954, he married Sylvia Ashley , the former wife of Clark Gable and the widow of Douglas Fairbanks .
Living in the USA , he acquired a plantation in Southern California , was engaged in horse racing and hotel business.
He never realized his dream of returning to his homeland in Georgia, to his family. The Russian cemetery in Menton is buried.
