SAIPA ( Pers. سایپا ) is an Iranian automaker headquartered in Tehran. SAIPA (an acronym for the French Société Anonyme Iranienne de Production Automobile) was created in 1966 [1] , with a 75% interest in Iran for the assembly of Citroen cars under license for the Iranian market. Currently, the company mainly produces Korean cars, but has developed its own engine and car range. The executive director of Saipa is Mehdi Jamali, whose predecessor was Nematollah Poustindouz. The main subsidiaries of the SAIPA Group are Saipa Diesel, Pars Khodro and Zamyad Co. [2]
