Kathlen Williams ( born Kathlyn Mabel Williams ), May 31, 1879 - September 23, 1960 ) - American actress, star of the beginning of the silent movie era.

Biography
She became famous in the early 1910s, largely due to the main role in one of the first movie series "The Adventures of Kathleen" (1913-1914). [1] With the advent of sound cinema, the actress moved to secondary roles, and in 1935 she completed a film career.
Williams was married three times. From her first marriage, she had a son who died at the age of 16 from complications of the flu . In December 1949, the actress had a car accident, as a result of which, her friend Mary E. Rose, who was with her, died, and the right leg was amputated by Williams herself. Despite the disability, the subsequent years of her life she remained quite active, traveled a lot.
The last thirty years of her life, Williams lived in her apartment in West Hollywood , where she died of a heart attack in 1960 at the age of 81. All her fortune, which was estimated at 287 thousand dollars, she bequeathed to charitable foundations. Kathleen Williams' contribution to the American film industry is starred on the Hollywood Walk of Fame .
