Funds
The library specialized in the most important Ukrainian and international publications about Ukraine. In 1914, the library had 70 thousand volumes of books and about 500 manuscripts. In 1938 there were more than 200 thousand volumes of books, and about 1,500 manuscripts [3] .
Fate after 1940
In 1940, after the accession of Western Ukraine to the USSR , the library funds were transferred to the library of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR. Now it is the V. Stefanyk Lviv Scientific Library [1] .
Present
After 1947, the Shevchenko Scientific Society formed a number of libraries in different cities of the world. In particular, in New York ( USA ), Sarsellier (near Paris , France ), Toronto ( Canada ), Melbourne ( Australia ) [3] . In addition, with the restoration of the branch of the company in Lviv in 1989, a new library collection has also begun to form here. This is largely due to donations from institutions and citizens of the Ukrainian diaspora [1] .
