Kay Fozer [1] ( German: Kay Voser , born January 4, 1987 , Baden , Switzerland ) is a Swiss football player who defends the Zurich club. The main playing position is the right back. It can also play in the position of left defender and right midfielder . Previously represented the youth and junior teams of Switzerland of different ages.

Career

Fozer started playing football at the Fislisbach club. In 1997 he transferred to the youth composition of Grasshopper . The club joined the adult squad in 2005. He made his debut in the Swiss Super League on March 26, 2006 in a match against the Schaffhausen club [2] . In parallel with the Super League, Fauzer continued to play for the reserve farm club Grasshopper II in the Swiss First League [3] . Fauzer scored his first goal for Grasshopper on March 17, 2007 in a match against Lucerne [4] .

On May 31, 2011, Fauzer signed a three-year contract with Basel . He made his debut at the club on July 16, 2011 in a match against Young Boys [5] . At the end of the 2011/12 season, he won a gold double with the club: the Swiss Super League and the Swiss Cup .

In the 2012/13 season, Fauzer again became the champion of Switzerland as part of Basel. In the same season, “Basel” reached the final of the Swiss Cup, but lost in the final match to Grasshopper .

Fozer scored his first goal with Basel on November 23, 2013 in a match against Thun [6] [7] . At the end of the 2013/14 season, Fauzer became the champion of Switzerland for the third time in Basel.

On July 2, 2014, Fawzer signed a two-year contract with the English Fulham with the option of extending for another year [8] . The amount of transfer remained unknown. In February 2016, Fozer's contract was terminated by mutual agreement with the club [9] . Fozer spent the rest of the 2015/16 season at Sion , after which he signed a two-year contract with Zurich in June 2016 [10] .
