Career
Early career
Clark began his career at the age of 19 when he wrote and co-starred in a play with his old school friend Oliver Maltman at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. [3] Dan then formed a trio of comedians Electric Eel and they performed at this festival in 1998 and 1999. In addition, in 1999 they made a pilot episode for the Comedy Lab, called Roy Dance Dead , and the following year several full episodes were released. [4] In February 2002, the series was re-broadcast, but with a new name: Real Estate Agents . [1] The Electric Eel Trio toured the UK to attract viewers.
In 2003, Clark began working alone and created his first one-man show, held in Edinburgh . The following year, his career as a stand-up began . Dan performed for an hour at the Edinburgh Festival in 2005, 2006 and 2007. He also created a monthly show, the night of Clark's comedy, in which he talked with famous people. In the summer of 2006, Daniel wrote the script and starred in the sketches for the Paramount Comedy Channel (Comedy Central UK) called Dan Clark: How to Go On Date ( Dan Clark's Guide to Dating ) and Dan Clark: How to Go To Work (eng . How not to live
After the success of the sketches, the BBC became interested in Daniel. In the summer of 2007, Clark and producer, Gary Reich, began filming the new series How Not to Live . In it, Dan played the main character and wrote the script for each issue. [3] [5] The pilot episode was released on September 27, 2007, [6] and the first season began broadcasting from August next year. [7] [8] At first, the series had modest numbers of views, but the audience of viewers grew with each series and two more seasons later appeared. Clark often works on television . He first appeared on TV in December 1996, playing a robber in the famous scene “Batman and Robin” in the sitcom Fools are lucky . On March 25, 2011, Clark went on his first national tour with a stand-up show called Dan Clark Live! . The show received generally good reviews. In May 2012, Daniel formed a band and hosted a show. These songs may contain Jokes at London's Soho Theater for a week. It was a mixture of funny songs and stand-up. The performance was a huge success and Clark went on a mini tour with eight concerts all over the UK. [2]
Clark Comedy Night
In 2006, Daniel created Clark's monthly comedy night show. He was the host of every meeting. The show quickly gained popularity with both ordinary viewers and critics. Celebrities such as Eddie Izzard , Noel Fielding , Jack Whitehall, Stephen Merchant, Cardinal Burns, Tim Kay, Rich Fulcher, Alice Lowe, Sarah Pescoe, Paul Foot, Tony Lowe, Arnab Chandra and Sarah Kendall often participated in the show. Dan Clark & The Difficult Three
In 2012, Clark recorded his debut rock album . The group consists of professional musicians: Ben Parker, Johnny de'Ath, and Jimmy Sims. On July 1, 2013, the album was released under the name Dan Clark & The Difficult Three . [eleven]
