History

August 6, 1941 in Kurgan arrived evacuated from Cherkassy, Kiev region Cherkasy plant of general engineering named. G.I. Petrovsky. He was allocated industrial premises of a musical instrument factory under construction on the territory of the former Mother of God-Nativity Cathedral. It housed two mechanical workshops, an assembly shop, painting, varnishing and a power plant. The foundry is located in the foundry of the former S.A. Balakshin plant on ul. Pushkin. The plant produced ammunition ( mortar mines 50 mm, more than 6,000 pcs. Per day) for the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army.

By the order of the People's Commissariat of General Engineering of the USSR of October 6, 1941, it was renamed the Kurgan Plant of Food Engineering.

By the order of the People's Commissariat of Mortar Engineering of the USSR of July 16, 1943 it was renamed to Plant No. 709. For dedicated work, the plant’s staff was repeatedly awarded prizes in the competition and awarded the Red Banner of the USSR State Committee for Defense, People’s Commissariat for Mortar Weapons of the USSR, City Committee of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) and City Executive Committee.

After the war, the plant switched to the production of peaceful products - woodworking machines .

By a resolution of the Council of Ministers of the USSR of May 13, 1946, it was renamed the Kurgan Woodworking Machine Plant with subordination to the USSR Ministry of Machine Building and Instrument Engineering, from the USSR Ministry of Machine Tools from 1951, from the USSR Ministry of Machine Tools from 1953, to the USSR Ministry of Machine Tool and Tool Industries, from 1954, since 1957 - to the Office of the metalworking industry of the Kurgan economic council, since 1963 - to the Engineering department of the South Ural economic council.

The plant produced circular saws , band saws , surface planers , ski machines .

The first batch of jointing machines was made in 1947. Since 1960, the plant became the only manufacturer of such machines in the USSR.

The volume of production of machine tools grew from year to year, if in 1945 286 machines were produced (including 279 circular and band saws), then in 1976 - 6,000 pcs. Export of products increased from 34 pcs. in 1961 to 287 pcs. in 1977. In total, the plant produced more than 150,000 machines, including 4,403 machines for export to 23 countries (including Norway, Poland, Egypt, Australia, the Netherlands, France, Finland, Cuba, Iraq, Czechoslovakia, Sudan, Vietnam).

In 1966, the plant was transferred to the Main Directorate for the Production of Woodworking Equipment of the Ministry of Machine Tool and Tool Industry of the USSR, from 1976 - the All-Union Production Association Soyuzzdrevstankoprom, since 1986 - VPO Glavdrevstankoprom, since 1989 - NPO Drevmash [1 ] .

Since 1966, the plant has been producing consumer goods: a screw ax, doll cribs, padlocks, brackets "Birch", fish saw and others. Production area of ​​the plant is 7360 m², the territory of the whole plant is 1.8 hectares.

The demand in the USSR and the CMEA countries for machine tools in the ZDS profile was 25-30 thousand units. per year, therefore, in 1980, construction began on the second stage of the plant at a new site in the Karchevskaya grove with a production area of ​​71,200 m².

Since 1985, the plant has been specializing in the production of spindle assemblies for four-sided machines and the production of automatic feeders for woodworking machines of any modifications.

In 1988, a regional center for metal coating of dentures was opened at the plant.

In 1989, in the area of ​​Karchevskaya Grove, a welding and procuring building (1st stage of construction) was introduced, into which the production of automatic feeders, augers, augers, and manipulators was transferred.

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of July 1, 1992 N 721 "On organizational measures for the transformation of state enterprises, voluntary associations of state enterprises into joint stock companies" in 1993, the Open Joint-Stock Company "Kurgan Woodworking Plant was established on the basis of the Kurgan Plant of Woodworking Machine Tools machine tools. " Based on the decision of the meeting of shareholders dated May 20, 1996, it was renamed to Kurgan Woodworking Machine Plant OJSC.

At the end of 1993, production at the second site was completely stopped. Since 1993, the plant has developed and produced 16 models of woodworking machines for carpentry and furniture production (milling, circular sawing, planing, planing, four-sided, boring-grooving, combined, thicknesses) [2] .

In accordance with the decision of the Arbitration Court of the Kurgan Region dated March 31, 2004 OJSC Kurgan Woodworking Machines Plant was declared insolvent (bankrupt).

On 6 May 2004, KZZDS LLC (TIN 4501108387) was established, and since June 9, 2005, Sergey Valeryevich Churin, the head of the liquidation commission, has been in the liquidation phase.

On January 11, 2006, an entry was made on the termination of the Kurgan Woodworking Machine Plant OJSC (TIN 4501016591) in connection with its liquidation on the basis of the decision of the Arbitration Court of the Kurgan Region on the completion of bankruptcy proceedings.

After the liquidation of the plant, a building materials supermarket is located at the Zauralsky DomoStroy Shopping Center, which uses the abbreviation ZDS.
