Biography
He was born on October 6, 1816 in Stang in the province of Hedmark [1] in the family of Lieutenant Colonel and Military Commissioner Johan Fredrik Neser ( Norwegian Johan Fredrik Næser ).
In 1837 he became an officer, and on April 12, 1861 he was awarded the rank of captain of the cavalry.
In 1866 he became commander of the cavalry brigade [2] , and in 1867 he was awarded the Order of St. Olaf [3] .
He was the first adjutant to the King of Sweden and Norway, Charles XV , and from 1884 to 1889 he was the Marshal of the Oscars II . In 1888, he was awarded the rank of lieutenant general .
He was fond of photography. His mansion in Christiania , built in the 1850s according to the project of the German architect , was sold in 1885 to U. E. Kiera, one of the five sons of the famous Norwegian wood merchant H. Kiera and for more than forty years belonged to descendants, and is currently part of the building complex of the Russian Embassy in Norway .
