Career
Prior to their debut under RealCollabo, Zhuyong and his classmate Shin Dong (later debuting as CNU in B1A4) created a J&D duo for the Chinchin Youth Song Festival (2009). The duet was named 갭골 (Gapgol), and Zhuyong took the pseudonym 갭주 (Gapjoo) [2]
RealCollabo (2010—2013)
Zhuyong was first introduced to the public on October 11, 2010. A cover for George Benson ’s song, Nothing's Gonna Change My Love for You , performed by a young singer, was uploaded to RealCollabo on YouTube . A month later, Zhuyong is recording another cover (Jeremy Passion - Well Done), and on December 7 will debut with the digital single “그대 와 같아 (Same as You)”.
December 11, 2012 he releases his first mini-album "From Me to You", the title track for which he writes himself, thereby marking his debut as a composer. [3]
January 18, 2013 RealCollabo hosts the 'RealCollabo Live' concert, 'Siaena & Jooyoung RealCollabo Live 001' at Hongdae V Hall. After that, Zhuyong begins to appear at concerts and showcases of other singers.
Belikewater Records (2013—2014)
Zhuyong announces resignation from RealCollabo April 4, 2013 via his Twitter account . After leaving, he joins Belikewater Records. He is involved in the recording of Lyn 's song “High Heel” and attends her showcase. September 30th Zhuyong releases digital single "Popstar", written by Jay Chong. [four]
On November 28, Zhuyong appears on the showcase of one of his best friends Kim Phil at DiDimHall Hongdae, and next year he also attends Kim Phil's 1st 'Another Concert' at the Jazz Story.
Starship (2014 - present)
On July 30, 2014, Starship introduced Zhuyung as their new artist under the Starship X label and released his cover of Jeff Bernat's Call You Mine song. [5] Also as a member of the Starship team, he participated in the Singer Game show on Mnet and became hotly debated due to his performance and eye contact strategy with the audience. [6]
He collaborated with a former d.ear label colleague to write the single “Taxi on the phone” for Topp Dogg's Kido , which was released on September 26th. His first release, under the leadership of Starship X, is the digital single “지워 (Erase)”, which is a collaboration with Sistar , along with Show Me the Money, season 3 member Iron. [7] The digital single "Erase" also contains a remake of Zhuyong's debut song, "Same sa you." Then he participated in the recording of the Starship Planet winter song “Love is You”.
Zhuyong joined the Starship X Concert in Busan on August 16 [8] and the Starship X All Night Concert in Seoul on December 5, 2014 [9] along with colleagues Mad Clown , Junggigo , Hyolyn , Soyou and Nuboyz (Shownu, Wonho and Jooheon from Monsta X and #Gun). On April 4, 2015, together with Kim Feel, Mad Clown, and Hanhae, he was a guest at the Rolling Saypop concert Vol.1 ELUPHANT Fly me to the moon. [10] On May 23, he performed at the Greenplugged Seoul 2015. [11] In 2015, he also appeared as a guest at Kay's Small Hall Concert . Willa .
Along with colleagues, Zhuyong appears on Starship’s first idol survival show “No. Mercy” as an invited judge from episodes 6 through 9. In episode 9, his team won their fourth debut mission and won the right to release the song “0 (YOUNG)”. [12]
On June 14, 2015, Zhuyong released the single “91” to celebrate his mother’s birthday. On August 27, his third digital single “3” with two title songs was released. [13] He also took part in recording the song with his old fellow agency Ra.D , d.ear , and Brother Su , releasing "Draw You". This is a remake of the old d.ear song, which is also the latest release of RealCollabo. [fourteen]
November 26, 2015 Zhuyong was enlisted in the military. [15] Starship announced his enlistment next month, right after the release of Love Line. He completed his basic training on December 24 and began serving as a public services worker. [16] Despite the fact that he still serves, Zhuyong continues to release songs that he recorded before leaving for the army. He took part in the recording of the Starship Planet winter song “사르르 (Softly)” in 2015. On January 7, 2016 he released his first soundtrack “들리 나요 (Can You Hear Me)” for the drama SBS Remember - War of the Son [17] 14 On February 2016, Zhuyong along with K.Will, Junggigo, and Brother Su released a special Valentine’s song 요리 좀 해요 (Cook for Love). .
