Biography
He was born on December 5, 1931 in Breach Mullah. Soon he moved to Tashkent and in 1950 entered the Central Asian University, which he graduated in 1955. From 1959 to 1963 he headed the laboratory of defoliation and desiccation of plants, from 1963 to 1968 he served as deputy director of the Institute of Experimental Plant Biology. From 1968 to 1975 he held the post of rector of the Tashkent Agricultural Institute, from 1975 to 1976 he held the position of academician-secretary of the Central Asian branch of the All-Union Agricultural Academy of Agricultural Sciences . From 1976 to 1983, he served as director of the Union of the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Agricultural Research / Research Institute of Cotton Production. In 1983, he was elected Director General of the NGO Soyuzkhlopok and worked in this position until 1987.
In 1987, he returned to the Institute of Experimental Plant Biology, where he headed the laboratory for 2 years. From 1989 to 1990, he served as Director General of the NGO Biologist. In 1990, he was elected Chairman of the Presidium of the Central Asian branch of the All-Union Agricultural Academy . From 1991 to 1993, he served as President of the Uzbek Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Huge painstaking work affected the health of Abduvali Imamaliev and in this connection he lived a not very long, but fruitful life.
He died on April 12, 1993 in Uzbekistan.
Scientific work
The main scientific works are devoted to the development of theoretical and practical foundations for the use of defoliants and desiccants and to the study of the biological foundations of fruit formation and fall of cotton bolls. The author of 400 scientific papers, 29 books and brochures, 5 monographs and the author of 5 certificates for inventions.
Identified new effective defoliants and desiccants and developed optimal conditions for their use. He developed the programming problem of obtaining a high cotton crop.
