Company History
Delivery Club was founded in 2009 by Levon Hovhannisyan and Anna Shkirina. The company was officially registered in July 2009. The first investment in the amount of $ 500,000 was received by Delivery Club from the founders of the project [3] . Since 2011, Addventure acted as shareholders of the company, having invested $ 1.5 million over the entire period of cooperation [4] . In March 2012, the company began to make a profit [5] . In December 2013, a public round of $ 8 million from Phenomen Ventures took place , most of which went to the disposal of Delivery Club shares from the first investors [6] . The total investment for the development of the project is not disclosed. In June 2014, the German food delivery company Foodpanda (project Rocket Internet) bought a 100% stake in Delivery Club [7] . In October 2014, the company entered into partnerships with Alfa Bank , developing a project to pay for orders using bank cards [8] .
In November 2016, the Mail.ru Group acquired the Delivery Club for $ 100 million [9] .
As of 2017, the platform brings together more than 5,200 restaurants that accept 25 thousand orders daily through the site. The company’s structure includes its own logistics service, Delivery Express, which also uses bicycles and motor scooters in addition to cars [10] .

- On September 17, 2015, Delivery Club became part of the “100 Best Organizations and Enterprises of Russia 2015” and was recognized as a laureate in the nomination “Best Business Project on the Internet 2015” according to experts of the International Forum “Innovation and Development” [11] ;
- "Leader of Russia 2015" according to the national rating of enterprises of the Russian Federation according to the results of 2013-2014 [12] .
- On October 21, 2016, the service became the winner of the Big Turnover Award, having won the Mobile Store nomination [13] .
- On October 19, 2017, the service became the winner of the Big Turnover Award, winning the Breakthrough of the Year nomination for the fastest growth this year among e-commerce projects.
