Biography
He was born on November 20, 1933 in the village of Yaragkazmalyar of the Magaramkent district of the Dagestan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic in a large family, the son of a school teacher.
He graduated with honors from the Dagestan Medical Institute (1957), worked as a doctor in a regional hospital.
Since 1960, at the Leningrad Research Institute of Blood Transfusion: resident clinical residency, graduate student (1962), researcher (1966), senior researcher, since 1970 head of the hematology clinic (Clinical Department of chemotherapy for hemoblastoses, hematopoiesis depression and bone marrow transplantation).
In 1966 he defended his thesis, in 1973 a doctoral dissertation. Professor (1978).
In 1994 he was awarded the title of Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, in 1999 - Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation.
In 2015 he was awarded the Order of Friendship. He was awarded the badge “Excellent Health Care”, medals “For Valiant Labor”, “For Outstanding Merits to Domestic Health Care”, “300 Years of St. Petersburg”, “Veteran of Labor”.
