Biography
The wife of the artist Leonid Lamm (1928-2017). In 1973, Lamm filed documents to leave his family from the USSR, but was sentenced to three years as a result of a false accusation (he was imprisoned in Butyrskaya prison, V.P. Serbsky Institute of Psychiatry, a prison camp near Rostov-on-Don). In 1982, a family with a daughter emigrated to the United States [1] [2] .

In 2004, Inessa Levkova-Lamm published the book “The Face of a Square. The Mysteries of Kazimir Malevich ”, in which she considered Malevich as“ a brilliant polemicist-hoaxer artist tied to the creation of the mysteries ”. The book is a demystification of the creativity of the founder of Suprematism and is largely based on the literary theory of Mikhail Bakhtin [3] .
