Wieselhüfer, Joseph

Joseph Wieselhüfer (born April 5, 1951 in Wicked , North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a German scholar and current professor of Ancient History (Department of Classical Antiquities) of the University of Kiel. He is a prominent expert in the history of Islamic Persia and contacts of Greek and Roman culture in the ancient Near East. One of his most famous publications is: Ancient Persia, 550 BC to 650 BC (London - New York 2001) [2]
