Biography
Born in 1777 in the family of Johann Gottlieb ( German: Johann Gottlieb ) and Maria Katarina ( German: Maria Katharina ) Prestel, where there were five children.
In childhood, all children were familiar with art. In 1786, the parents divorced and Ursula, together with her younger brother and mother, went to London . There the children studied art; like their mother, they painted portraits and still lifes , and also worked as copper engravers. After the death of her mother, Ursula moved to Frankfurt in 1794 and worked with graphics in her father’s workshop, where she met his apprentice and future husband Johann Reinheimer ( German: Ehemann Johann Georg Reinheimer , 1777-1820).
As a professional artist, she painted portraits, landscapes and still lifes. She was friends with artists and artists of her time. Together with Susanne von Bethmann-Hollweg (1763-1831), the wife of a banker, traveled to France and Switzerland. The marriage with Johann Reinheimer in 1805 did not violate her artistic plans. At the end of her life, the artist also worked as a teacher at Institut der Frau Dr. Bunsen in Frankfurt.
She died in 1845 .
