The European Cup in running 10,000 meters in 2016 was held on June 5 at the stadium of the Nevin Yanit Athletics Complex in the resort town of Mersin ( Turkey ). Participants played a team prize in competitions for men and women.

45 athletes from 10 countries of Europe, including 23 men and 22 women, took to the start. Each country could put up to 6 people in each of the two team tournaments. Winners were determined by the sum of the results of the 3 best participants. Competitions were held in warm sunny weather.
