The qualifying tournament for the UEFA European Under-18 Championship 2000 was held from September 14, 1999 to May 17, 2000. It was attended by 50 teams that fought for 7 tickets to the final tournament. In the preliminary round, the teams were divided into 14 groups. The winners of the groups advanced to the next round, where in the two-match confrontations they revealed the participants of the final tournament. Germany automatically entered the final as a host.
