Galyash Pelgrimovsky coat of arms of Novin ; about 1550 - about 1604) - statesman, military leader, panegyrist poet. He was the royal secretary of Stephen Bathory . During the Livonian (Inflationary) war, led an equestrian detachment of 100 people. In 1581, under the command of the Hetman Krzysztof Radziwill, he participated in a campaign against Russia. In 1583, on behalf of Stefan Batory, he traveled to Moscow with a message and gifts to Ivan IV. In 1586, he received the position of clerk of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and probably participated in the preparation of the Statute of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in 1588.

In his poetic work “Conversation of a Pole with a Muscovite”, as well as the diarius diary “Embassy of Leo Sapieha to the Grand Duke of Moscow” reflected the relationship between the Grand Duchy of Moscow and the Moscow state in the late XVI - early XVII century.
