Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ) and Summer Games Done Quick (SGDQ) are two annual charity marathon high-speed video game passing in the United States of America . Held under the leadership of the Speed Demos Archive and Speedruns Live communities. The first marathon was held in January 2010. Funds raised in the marathons are channeled mainly to two organizations: the Prevent Cancer Foundation and the Doctors Without Borders.

Format
The organizers rent a building where speedrunners (English Speedrunners) come to demonstrate their skills. You can watch the event not only from the hall, but also by means of live broadcast on the Twitch.tv platform. Games that are held at the event can be very different: both old and new, both from independent developers and from large companies.
History
The first charity marathon, called Classic Games Done Quick, was held in January 2010. Thanks to him, they were able to raise $ 10,000 for CARE (Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere). In 2011, Awesome Games Done Quick was held, which made it possible to raise $ 50,000 for the Prevent Cancer Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to the prevention of cancer. In the same year, in August, was the Summer Games Done Quick. The funds received due to him were sent to the Organization for Autism Research. After that, the charity marathon is held 2 times a year: Awesome Games Done Quick (in January) and Summer Games Done Quick (in summer, usually in July). Only once has tradition been broken. So, in April 2011, an unplanned marathon Japan Relief Done Quick was held, dedicated to raising funds to help those affected by the earthquake in Japan.
