Pleshchanka ( Plishchanka ), Lutheran suburb - the historical district of Minsk , located in the western part of the city, southeast of the Lutheran cemetery, on both sides of the Libavo-Romny railway .
Medvezhino is located in the north-west of Pleshchanka, in the north-east is Romanovskaya Sloboda , in the south is the suburb of Good Thoughts, in the south-west is Grushevka .

History
In the 19th century , the Lutheran (German) cemetery was opened in the Pleshchanka tract (now it is a square on the corner of Karl Libknecht and 2 Rosa Luxemburg Lanes) The road to the cemetery began to be called Little Lutheran or German Street over time, and Pleshanka was often called the Lutheran suburb.
At the beginning of the 20th century, Pleshchanka was part of the fourth and fifth police units of the city. Matveevskaya (the route of Rosa Luxemburg and Nemigi streets behind the Musical Theater ), Vyazemskaya and Kovenskaya streets, Bobruisk lane passed through the suburbs
At a meeting on May 6, 2009 , the Commission on the Name and Renaming of Avenues, Streets and Other Parts of Minsk decided to give an unnamed park within the boundaries of Kupriyanov - K. Libkneht - per. Homemade name "Lutheran". This square appeared on the site of the Lutheran cemetery demolished in the 1970s .
Old Addresses
- Little Lutheran. Lutheran Church of St. Nicholas. It was erected in the middle of the Lutheran cemetery, located at the crossroads of the present Karl Liebknecht and Korzh Streets. Lost in the first half of the 19th century; instead, in 1846 , a Lutheran church was erected on Zakharyevskaya Street.
- Plishenka. Brick factory G.I. Frida. Acted since 1898 , there was a Hoffmann furnace with 16 cameras. The factory building stood in the area where until recently the Minsk Tobacco Factory was located (Rosa Luxemburg, 69a). The safety of the building is not defined.
Modernity
Lutheran Square testifies to the existence of the suburbs. The toponym Pleshanka is not indicated on the map of Minsk in any way.
An important part of the Pleshanka is the Northern Lane , which is an ensemble of wooden buildings at the beginning of the 20th century.
