In 1991 and 1992, Labat won five low-level WTA tournaments in doubles. In singles, she achieved the best results at the US Open: in 1991 she managed to beat two competitors from the Top-20 rating (sown on the 14th number of Natalie Tozia and then Amy Fraser ) before flying out in the third round, and in 1992 after the victory over the 19th racket of the world Amanda Kötzer, she went into the fourth round, where her promotion was stopped by Steffi Graf, who occupied the second place in the rating. 1992 Labat finished on the immediate approaches to the Top-50 ranking in singles and doubles.
1993 was marked for Labat by the first final of the WTA tournament in singles (at the Brazilian Open , where she won the first racket of the tournament Sabina Haq , as well as with Argentina in the semifinals of the World Cup Federation Cup. In the quarterfinal match with the USA team, Labat brought her the decisive point for the national team, defeating Lori Macnill 5–7, 6–3, 6–0, and securing the Argentineans an early victory after Ines Gorroctegi defeated Lindsay Davenport. [5] In the first half of 1994, Labat three times attended the WTA finals in single However, not once having achieved a victory in them, I won the fourth round in the Wimbledon tournament , defeating Hack in the first match, which by that time occupied 15th place in the rating. by September she was able to reach the 26th place in the ranking - the highest in her career.

Before that, in Rome, van Rost and Labat beat one of the best couples in the world, Caroline Vis - Yayuk Basuki, on their way to the semi-finals. In singles in these years, Labat continued to be held in the first hundred of the rankings, without achieving any high-profile successes. Her best results were the exit in the fourth round of the US Open in 1997 (where she lost the first racket of the world to Martina Hingis ) and a victory at the 1998 Canadian Open over the tenth racket of the world Patti Schnyder .
In 1999, Labat showed its best result in Grand Slam tournaments, breaking through with Van Rost in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open after defeating seeded Elena Likhovtseva and Ai Sugiyama in fifth number. After that, Labat rose in the pair rating to the 27th place. However, in the next two Grand Slam tournaments, the Belgian-Argentine couple dropped out of the fight in the third round and broke up after Wimbledon.
