Content
History
The date of establishment is not established. The farm belonged to the yurt of the stanitsa of the Upper Kurmoyarsk Second Don District Region of the Don Army.
According to the List of Populated Places of the Earth of the Don Cossacks, according to information for 1859, there were 24 courtyards in the farm, totaling 154 male and 145 female souls [2] . In 1873 there were 30 households in the farm, 88 males and 108 females lived there [3] .
According to the data of the first All-Russian population census of 1897, 145 souls of males and 164 females lived in the farm [4] . According to the alphabetical list of populated areas of the Region of the Don Cossack Army in 1915, there were 53 courtyards in the farm, 179 male and 209 female lives, there were farm management, a school [5]
In 1920 , like other settlements of the Second Don District , it was incorporated into the Tsaritsyn province . In 1928 he was included in the Kotelnikovsky district of the Nizhne-Volzhsky krai (since 1934 - the Stalingrad region , since 1936 - the Stalingrad region). The farm was part of the Pokhlebinsky Village Council (the center is the Pokhlebin farm) [6] . In 1953, the center of the village council was moved to the farm Zakharov, the village council was renamed Zakharov [7] .
Physical-geographical characteristic
Before the construction of the Tsimlyansky reservoir, the farm was located on the left bank of the Aksai Kurmoyarsky river, just below the present-day location [8] . Currently, the farm is located on the right bank of the Aksai within the western slope of the Yergenin Upland, belonging to the East European Plain, the Scythian tectonic plate , at an altitude of about 50 meters above sea level [9] . The relief is hilly-flat, a ravine network is developed [9] . The soil cover is complex: chestnut solonetz and solonchak soils and salt licks (automorphic) are widespread [10] .
By road, the distance to the regional center of the city of Volgograd (to the city center) is 210 km, to the district center of the city of Kotelnikovo - 8 km (to the city center) [11] .
- Climate
The climate is continental , arid, with hot summer and relatively cold and little snowy winter (according to the Köppen climate classification - Dfa ). The average annual air temperature is positive and is + 9.0 ° C. The average temperature of the coldest January is -5.9 ° С, the hottest month of July is +23.9 ° С. The estimated multi-year rainfall is 386 mm. During the year, the amount of precipitation is distributed relatively evenly: the smallest amount of precipitation falls in March and October (25 mm each), the largest amount - in June (41 mm) and December (40 mm) [12] .
