Description
Small and medium sized lanterns, characterized by an unusual shape of the head and coloring of the wings. Body length 13 - 14 mm, the main color is orange-brown. Head with a protrusion of a triangular shape. The head protrusion is dorso-ventrally flattened (flat above, convex below). Hind tibia with 4-5 spines. The species was first described in 1991 by the American entomologist Louis B. O'Brien ( Lois B. O'Brien ; Entomology, Florida A & M University, Tallahassee , Florida , USA ) [1] .
