Bicycle pump - a manual or foot air pump for pumping bicycle tires . Equipped with an adapter for connecting to the bicycle chamber fitting.
A bicycle pump pumps air through a piston. During the upstroke, the piston draws in atmospheric air through a one-way valve. During a downward stroke, the piston displaces air from the pump into the bicycle tire. Some types of pumps have a built-in pressure gauge to indicate tire pressure.
The first bicycle pumps are thought to have appeared around 1887 with a groove with the first John Boyd Dunlop inflatable tires in Scotland.
The cameras can also be inflated with a foot pump and compressor. In the latter case, care must be taken, since high pressure and the volume of incoming air can lead to rupture of the chamber.
