Story
Jimmy Crocker, nicknamed "Jim from Piccadilly," spends all his time in parties and is known in America and London for wild behavior and fights. By his behavior, he threatens the reputation of his stepmother, Eugenia Crocker, who wants to get a peerage for superiority over her sister, Nesta Pett. Jimmy's father - Bingley Crocker - does not like the life of high society, he wants to return to acting. One day on the street, Jimmy Crocker meets Ann Chester and falls in love with her. Ann is the niece of Nesta's husband, she lives with her family in London. Although she never saw him, Chester hates Crocker for being a reporter when he ridiculed her first collection of poems (in fact, Jimmy was no longer working in the editorial office, the review was published under his name). After meeting with her sister, Nesta Pett decides to return to America with her family, she also takes with her Bingley Crocker, who pretends to be a butler. They are followed by a passionate Jim.

Reviews and criticism
Ronnie Sheeb of Variety did not appreciate the film. She noted the weak play of Francis O'Connor and the heaviness of the script [2] . According to Chris Barsanti, the film directed by John Mackay does not have a common style, he jumps from farce to melodrama, then to a light comedy, meaningless anachronisms are added (there are elements of life in the 1930s, 1950s and 1970s in the film). Barsanti believes that the cast of the Crockers was perfectly matched, but Francis O'Connor’s play is the main reason for the film’s failure [3] .
