Career
Club career
From the age of 12, he played football at the Quilmes club, then in the youth team of Racing from Avellaneda. The first official match for the adult Racing team was played on August 28, 2013 as part of the South American Cup against Lanus [1] , and made its debut in the national championship three days later in the match against All Boys [2] . In just two seasons, the defender spent 30 matches for the team in the Argentinean championship and won the league title in 2014 .
At the beginning of 2014, Gomez signed a three-year contract with Racing, but soon lost his place as the club acquired Gaston Diaz and Ivan Pilyud returned from the lease. The club management decided to give the defender a lease [3] .
In 2015, Gomez played on loan at San Martin , and played 29 matches. On April 6, 2015, he scored the first goals at the adult level, taking a double against the Tigre club [4] .
Since 2016, the footballer has been playing for Lanus [5] ; in the spring season of 2016, he took part in 15 matches and helped the team win the league title [6] .
Personal life
Jose Luis was born in a poor family, where there were 11 brothers and sisters. When he was 9 years old, the family moved from the province to the suburb of Buenos Aires - Villa Lugano [7] .
In the manner of the game and because of the appearance, Gomez is compared with Kafu .
