In 1972 he graduated from the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys .
After graduation, he works at the A. A. Bochvar Research Institute of Inorganic Materials , where he was engaged in the metal science of composite materials, the development of superconductors for the international project of the ITER experimental thermonuclear reactor, as well as the development of nanostructured especially durable high-temperature materials for use in pulsed magnetic systems.
Since 1998 - Deputy Director of VNIINM named after A. A. Bochvar.
The author of more than 150 works and 10 patents for inventions.
Rewards
A. Bochvar Prize (for 2008, together with A. K. Shikov , A. E. Vorobyeva ) - for the work “Creating a new class of technical high-strength high-conductivity materials using the effect of an anomalous increase in strength during the transition to a nanoscale microstructure”
