Geography
The village was located 7 km north of the village of Tokzhailau (Dzerzhinskoe) on the Balabay river.
History
The resettlement village Zeleny Lug was founded in 1912. It was part of the Kolpakov volost of the Lepsinsky site. In 1913 it consisted of 41 courtyards [1] .
